Tiger Box is the ideal solution for:

  • Film colour grading, special FX and video editing workgroups
  • On-set 2K/4K film capture with instant dailies logging and editing
  • High-performance render farm
  • Surveillance and image acquisition
  • Scientific, pre-press, medical and satellite imaging analysis

Tiger Box Integrated Storage Workflow

Tiger Box Shared Storage Workflow System is a state of the art, powerful, integrated intelligent storage system designed to solve storage workflow challenges in content-centric applications.

With just a few clicks, create a powerful shared storage network, using the connection of your choice to share media and metadata among users and suites, and collaborate on projects. Easily manage your SAN with a simple web UI, and let Tiger Box handle file system and sequence defragmentation for maximum performance, productivity, and uptime.

Features & Capabilities

  • Complete, integrated appliance
  • Easy to setup, configure, and maintain
  • Use the creative apps you need, including Avid bin locking
  • Use a mix of Ethernet and Fibre connections
  • 24/7 email and phone support available and included for first year

Based on the Tiger Intelligent Shared Storage Workflow Engine, Tiger Box provides you with a complete Shared Storage Workflow system that accelerates rich media production. It includes storage, networking, sharing, project management, and life-cycle management capabilities. With a simple web UI and direct Ethernet and Fiber connectivity, Tiger Box makes it easy to setup shared storage workflows that let you focus on your work, not on system administration and maintenance.

Tiger Box offers the simplicity of NAS and the performance characteristics of a true SAN. The compact rack-mountable system combines a Metadata Master and highly optimized RAID (0, 5, 6) storage, comprised of 16 enterprise-class drives (drive capacity depends on specific configuration), which can be accessed by client computers via 8Gb or 16Gb Fibre Channel, 10Gb Ethernet and/or 1Gb Ethernet. The system is easily expandable to 384 TB with up to four Tiger Expansion chassis.

Tiger Box is in a class of its own when it comes to simplicity, performance and sophistication. To deploy Tiger Box in your facility you simply need to connect the computers to Tiger Box via 1Gb/10Gb Ethernet or 8Gb/16Gb Fibre Channel, then access Tiger Box via a web browser to download and install the client software.

Once you turn the appliance on, its RAID storage becomes instantly available to all connected clients. There’s no need to activate client licenses. The Tiger Box driver software ensures consistent and uninterrupted high-speed access, file arbitration and zoning.

All performance metrics, storage settings and statistics can be controlled/viewed by any computer through the web interface, which is accessible from any device on the same network with a web browser.

Using built-in projectStore you can create any number of virtual volumes with Avid bin locking capability. These volumes can then be mounted as local volumes on client computers for access by any and all creative applications.

If Tiger Box does not detect file activity for a few minutes, automatic defragmentation of the file system will kick in. As soon as Tiger Box detects activity, it stops defragmenting.
